February craft/activity kits for kids: the Los Lunas Library is making these free kits available each week during February.  For week two you can pick up yours while supplies last starting Monday Feb. 7th.  Your kids can tune in on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month for a Facebook story time at 10:30 AM.  See this Facebook page for details about the arts and craft activity kits:https://tinyurl.com/2s3j489e - scroll right for info on following weeks

Story time at Los Lunas Library: the library has two virtual story hours for preschoolers on its Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/loslunaslibrary/  The story hours can be viewed in real time or later.

  • 2nd Friday of the month (Fri. Feb. 11th) at 10:30 AM
  • 4th Friday of the month (Fri., Feb. 25th) at 10:30 AM

Free notary service is available during normal business hours Monday thru Friday at the Los Lunas Library, when the library is open

Thu., Feb. 24th at 10:30 AM the Los Lunas Library hosts an on-line Light and Shadow workshop for preschoolers.  Description: “Explore the characteristics of light and shadow! Preschool learners and their families will hear the story, Dreams, by Ezra Jack Keats, receive materials to make a paper mouse shadow puppet, and be challenged to investigate the shadows they can find and create at home”.

Playaway Launchpad devices for use by preschoolers and now older kids are available for checkout from the Los Lunas Library.  Devices do not require an Internet connection.  Each device is loaded with a set of preloaded activities and games.  See this Facebook post: https://tinyurl.com/ywhv24t3  Call the library at 839-3850 for more info.
